When Voyager spacecraft fire took photos of the moon of Jupiter Io, edgewise, a woman engineer discovered a strange like plum coming from the surface. That's when it was found Io had active volcanoes, the 2nd known erupting volcanoes at that time in the solar system. Here is more.
